Cat crashes live TV show in Turkey

And now to our guest, the cat.

A TV show in Turkey had a surprise guest today when a stray cat wandered into the studio and climbed onto the presenter’s desk.

The presenter was a little shocked when the cat sat on his laptop (they love doing that) as he read the daily headlines.

There is a huge number of stray animals in Turkey, their strategy is to trap-spay/neuter-vaccinate/treat and release. Turks are reportedly very against the euthanasia of stray animals for population control.

This is in stark contrast to the US where there is little tolerance of free-roaming animals.

In the clip, the presenter even reminds viewers to feed stray animals and keep their doors open for them as the cold weather arrives.

The Daily Sabah reports that DRT staff fed the cat after the broadcast and one staff member adopted him.
