A video posted online earlier this year captures the terrifying moment a kangaroo jumped on a car bonnet.

The driver, making his way up a rural lane late at night, finds himself confronted with a kangaroo.

The kangaroo is initially travelling in a different direction but proceeds to make an enormous leap onto the car bonnet.

It's almost like he did it on purpose.

He then goes merrily along the dark and creepy laneway after jumping along the roof and down the back of the car.

"F**king kangaroo", the driver exclaims.
