Father shares moment he told his son his mother died from heroin overdose
Brenden Bickerstaff-Clark from Youngstown, Ohio, has shared an emotional video to Facebook.
It has been viewed over 23 million times since he posted it yesterday.
Bickerstaff-Clark wanted to share the moment he told his son that his mother had died from an heroin overdose to show the devastating impact drugs can have on a family.
He says: "Today I had to tell my 8 year old son that his mommy died from a drug overdose last night. This is the realisation and reality of our disease."
Bickerstaff-Clark is a recovering addict himself.
Some have questioned his judgement to share the moment, believing it was in poor taste but he seems to be standing by his decision.
He shared one viewers comment that says: "You and your son are in many people's prayers and you truly got the message out that it has an effect on others, tremendously."
