Student with Down's Syndrome grows giant pumpkin for London competition

Ben, a student with Down's Syndrome, won the RHS London pumpkin competition this year with his giant pumpkin.

We have never seen such an enormous pumpkin and neither has he.

Ben lives at the Beech Grove Bruderhof in Kent, which is one of the 23 settlements of the international Christian community Bruderhof.

With a little help from his friend Mario, Ben grew the pumpkin from seed.

He says: "Even the judges were surprised".

He plans to make lots of pumpkin pie just in time for Halloween.
