This broke student from Britain has been singing Ireland's praises after their visit to a Dublin café

We are not just good for the craic!

A British student, who just moved to Ireland, got a taste of the world famous Irish hospitality when he visited a café in Dublin.

Explaining to the waitress that he was broke, the British student ordered just toast and a glass of water.

Nodding sagely, the waitress said she understood and headed away with the order, but returned with a ham and cheese toastie with a heap of crisps on the side.

The gesture meant so much to the person that they shared the story on Reddit with a proud picture of their free meal.

“Gotta love Irish hospitality...” the Redditor wrote delighted with the meal and the friendly waitress.

Just goes to show how much a small gesture can mean to someone.
