Cat rescued after 11 days stuck in tree

A cat was rescued in Mississippi after spending 11 days stuck in a tree.

The cat, Sammy, was 50ft from the ground.

Sammy had spent the previous ten days in a neighbouring tree, moving to the tree seen in the video by way of a very small branch.

Robert Reese can be seen rescuing Sammy in this video.

He said that Sammy “was hesitant at first, but his stomach won the battle and he came down the limb to check out the food.”

The rescue was complicated and Reese had to reposition himself several times in order to get close enough to Sammy.

However, he said that Sammy made it easier by coming near him once he smelled the food.
