WATCH: Elephant charges at Tyrone man and his family in Zimbabwe

An elephant gave one Tyrone man and his family the shock of their lives after it charged them while holidaying in Zimbabwe.

39-year-old Stephen Montague and his wife were travelling with family members through Mana Pools, a wildlife park in north of the country.

The group took a minute to stop off for a bite to eat when a bull elephant walked up to them, apparently searching for food.

Of course they were a little wary of the enormous animal at first but little did they know what was about to happen next.

Mr Montague and his brother-in-law Shane Wolf were thrown from their chairs when the elephant charged over to them, and swung its trunk in their direction.

Luckily Mr Wolf was only minorly hurt by the elephant's tusks - but other than that, the group consider themselves very lucky.
