Hillary Klinton, anyone?

Kim Kardashian took a selfie with Hillary Clinton and the internet loved it

When Hillary Clinton wrote to her supporters that she wouldn't be watching last nights Republican debate, we imagine they didn’t expect she would be doing this instead.

Clinton has sent out an email explaining why she wasn't going to be watching the ten candidates for the Republican nomination battle it out onstage because she didn't need to.

"Subject: I’m not watching tonight’s debate

I don’t need to.

Friend --

Right this minute, ten Republican men are on national TV, arguing over which one will do the best job of dragging our country backwards.

I’m not watching, and I don’t need to be.

Donald Trump, Jeb Bush, Scott Walker, Marco Rubio -- they all have the same agenda. They are out of step with the kind of country Americans want for themselves and their children.

I’m on the road tonight, but I wanted to take a moment to ask you to chip in or more right now to fight for the vision you and I share:

Thanks,

Hillary"

And she also had far better plans.

In a surreal juxtaposition of characters, Hilary was attending a glitzy celebrity-filled fundraising bash in her honour at the home of Scooter Braun.

Braun is Justin Bieber's long-suffering manager.

While she was at the event (which cost $2,700 to attend), Clinton was roped into a photo with the selfie queen herself, Kim Kardashian. Oh and Kanye was there too. Almost smiling.

And in fairness, Clinton looks happy enough to be in the pic - no doubt thinking of the power of the Kardashian social media empire. Kim endorsed Clinton to her 34.2 million Twitter followers and that's not even including those who follow her on Instagram and Facebook.

Not a bad nights work for Hills - and probably a lot more fun than staying in and watching Trump and co. shout at each other on Fox News.

And at least she didn't get a selfie with Bieber.

A girl's got to have standards.
