VIDEO: Take in the sights and history of the Wild Atlantic Way in 13 minutes

As part of his rather excellent YouTube series on Irish and world history, John D Ruddy has made this handy video exploring the Wild Atlantic Way.

Helped by an adorable little animation, Ruddy takes us all the way from Kinsale in Cork to Muff in Donegal (no giggling), giving interesting background info on the local sights .

Along the way we learn about the Spanish Armada, various rebellions, World War Two outposts, shipwrecks and the Famine while taking in beautiful beaches, wild headlands and stunning sea views.
