PIC: Derry bus driver stops to do lotto; makes it up to passengers with ice lollies

He might have even have even sparked a romance!

Limavady native Ruairí Connolly was involved in a rather unusual bus journey yesterday evening, as he travelled to Derry.

Ruairí was travelling on the Derry and Strabane bus at around 6pm when the driver decided to suddenly pull in at a shop.

Turns out the driver had forgotten to buy his lottery ticket and to make it up to Ruairí and another woman on board, the driver bought the pair ice lollies.

The act of kindness got the two passengers talking and as they arrived in Derry, the nice driver joked he may have started a romance.

As it turns out, Ruairí told the Derry Journal he wouldn’t mind seeing the girl (who he believes is from Derry) again.

We wonder if she feels the same because there is a movie in this if it all works out!
