VIDEO: 11-year-old confronts bullies by reading their YouTube comments out loud

Logan Fairbanks received dozens of hurtful comments after a video of his dad scaring him in the shower went viral.

It was a quick funny video of a harmless prank between a father and son who obviously get on - and the internet had to go and ruin things. Like it often does.

The video - uploaded to YouTube by the dad Josh Fairbanks - has been viewed more than 3.5 million times and with that kind of exposure, trolls often follow. Unfortunately, they targeted Josh's son, Logan - specifically, his appearance.

In this heartbreaking video, Logan bravely confronts his online abusers and reads some of the hurtful comments he received.

It's a tough watch.

His dad writes that he wasn't sure if he should film this video at first but Logan convinced him.

"Logan asked me to do this. As his dad I was very hesitant but he insisted that if there was a chance it could help someone then why not face his online bullies and try. I hope one day I have as much courage as he does."

We hope some of those bullies watch this video and think twice before they post anonymous vitriol from the safety of their keyboards.
