VIDEO: Paralysed teen surprises graduation by walking across the stage

A high school student who was told he had less than a five percent chance of walking again after a diving accident stunned the audience at his graduation when he rose from his wheelchair and walked across the stage to collect his diploma.

Parker Haller was left paralysed three years ago after he shattered his spinal cord diving headfirst into a wave in Ocean City, Maryland,

Doctors told him it was unlikely he would ever walk again.

But Parker set himself a goal and after months of walking hard in physical therapy, he achieved it by walking across the stage at his graduation ceremony using only a cane for support.

A well-deserved standing ovation.
