VIDEO: Incredible footage of starlings in Carrick-on-Shannon

Have you ever seen a murmuration of starlings?

If you haven't, it is pretty impressive.

This video was recorded last Friday by Edwina Guckian in Carrick-on-Shannon and it is one of the few things that could make a beautiful summer evening sky even more so.

According to Edwina, the starlings have been 'performing' like this all weekend. She says that every evening between 8 and 10.30pm, the starlings are out, like a timetabled air show.

It's captivating watching the starlings twist and turn and dance through the sky.

We can only imagine what it's like sitting out in the sun with a show like that overhead after a hard days work.
