Has Ireland’s Yes started a trend for other countries to follow?

Ireland is making history today, as the first country to legalize same-sex marriage by popular vote.

Social media has exploded with positive reactions to the news, and there are some signs Ireland's Yes has started an international trend.

Or at least in Australia.

"Well done, Ireland! Now, Australia.. PLEASE allow me the same rights too!!" one tweeter said.

"Bloody well done Ireland! Now to bring Australia kicking and screaming into the 21st century," another person added.
