Granny's attempt to sell house goes viral on Twitter
An elderly woman, trying to sell her home in Florida, has become a star on Twitter after she posed in photos of her house.
The pictures, meant for a real estate listing, show 86-year-old Yolie Ball casually sipping coffee, poking her head out of a bedroom, reading a magazine in the living room and leaning on a kitchen counter.
But they've gone viral after her 15-year-old granddaughter, Mackenzie, posted them onto Twitter.
Makenzie said: “I thought the pictures of my grandma were hilarious and I wanted to share. I didn't expect them to get so popular. I thought like 40 RTs from my friends MAX.”
Yolie's daughter, Sandra, took the photos to help her mam and dad, Don, sell the house which they have lived in for 12 years.
Makenzie said it came about as a joke after Sandra told Yolie to stay in the shot where she was looking out from her bedroom door.
“It went from there. She’d say, ‘Oh, lean on the counter,’ or, ‘Go sit on the lanai,’” Makenzie recalled. “It was just a joke. We’re always doing silly stuff.”
