PICS: Huge crowd of students already queuing for the pub in Galway
A large crowd of students have gathered outside a pub in Galway for the annual Donegal Tuesday event.
Donegal Tuesday is held on the second day of unofficial RAG (Raise And Give Week) week in Galway every year.
It sees scores of students head to Hole in the Wall pub on Eyre Street - with the idea being that they all wear Donegal GAA jerseys.
Neither NUI Galway or GMIT have recognised Donegal Tuesday as an official college event since 2011 - after an agreement with Gardaí and local authorities.
Even without official support it has grown in popularity and it is predicted a large number of students from across the country have travelled to Galway be involved today.

Speaking to the Connacht Tribune a Garda spokesman explained that there is operational plan in place especially for the event.
“One of our main worries is the sheer numbers who gather in particular places – last year we ended up having to close down one particular venue and we are appealing to students to obey any instructions from the Gardaí,” said the spokesman.
Various pictures of the queue have sprung up on social media this morning and City Taxis in Galway have told breakingnews.ie that the behaviour of the students is good natured.
