Dublin pub starts 'Welfare Wednesday' drinks promotion

Well, that 's one way to get people talking.

Dublin pub Liz Delaney's has come up with an... innovative new promotional offer for the New Year and they're calling it 'Welfare Wednesdays' - complete with the Social Welfare logo on the poster.

The controversial promotion offers a range of drinks from a pint of Heineken to a measure of Jameson for just €3 and is available on presentation of a social welfare card or bus pass.
