Ah, daylight savings time. A thing we do because it gives us more light in the evening. Or to reduce traffic accidents. Actually, we mainly do it because we've always done it.

While British folks climbed into a magical blue box and we Irish carried out the Druidic rites for time travel a week ago, our American cousins only put their clock yesterday morning.

Which led a few of them to believe they had accidentally invented time travel or got stuck in Groundhog Day.

Reddit user "want more socks" wasn't alone in his fear, however. Many poor souls were terribly confused by this violation in the laws of physics that, you know, only happens twice every year.

We can practically sense the relief they felt when they realised their error. And the shame.
