Dublin punter scoops more than €8.7m after winning Saturday's Lotto jackpot
Another punter won €146,878 after matching five numbers plus the bonus.
A Dublin punter has scooped more than €8.7m after winning Saturday's Lotto jackpot.
The winning numbers were 1, 7, 27, 28, 34, 42, and the bonus was 26.
The winning player won the top prize of €8,726,418 after matching all six numbers plus the bonus.
They took the title of second Lotto jackpot winner of the year to date.
The National Lottery has confirmed that the winning retail location will be announced on Wednesday 6th May.
Meanwhile, a player in Westmeath also had a Saturday night to remember after matching five numbers and the bonus to win an incredible €146,878.
The Midlands player purchased their winning quick pick ticket on Thursday 30th April at The Grove Service Station in Baylough, Athlone, Co. Westmeath.
A spokesperson for the National Lottery said: “What a weekend it’s been for National Lottery players all over the country! A Lotto player in Dublin has officially become Ireland’s newest millionaire after winning Saturday night’s Lotto jackpot worth an impressive €8,726,418.
"We are encouraging all of our players in the Capital to carefully check their tickets today as one player now holds the title of second Lotto jackpot winner of 2026.”
There was no jackpot winner in the Lotto Plus 1 and Lotto Plus 2 draws.
According to Lotto bosses, more than 101,000 players won prizes in the Lotto and Lotto Plus draws.
