McGregor poses for selfies as MMA stars have press conference brawl at his feet

In the lead up to UFC 178 in September, Conor McGregor was in Las Vegas for a media day to promote his upcoming bout with American Dustin Poirier.

After a Q&A with the assembled media the plan was for the fighters to have a traditional staredown and Ireland’s McGregor had a rather intense one with his upcoming opponent.

But that wasn’t the whole story.

As McGregor left the stage next up was the staredown for the main event featuring the clash of Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier for Jones’ UFC light heavyweight title.

Jones and Cormier went head-to-head and chaos ensued as the two started to brawl. McGregor, however, was completely unfazed, and as furious attempts to separate Jones and Cormier continued next to him McGregor began to pose for selfies (or ussies) with the fans.

His actions have delighted MMA journalists and have started to go viral. McGregor took to Twitter give his take on the matter.

The Nevada State Athletic Commission is to investigate the brawl and Jones and Cormier could face some form of punishment over the matter.

UFC 178 takes place on September 27 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
