Today FM says farewell to Jenny Kelly
Today FM’s Ray D’Arcy Show said an emotional goodbye to long-time producer Jenny Kelly today.
Kelly, who also happens to be host Ray D’Arcy’s wife, announced last month she was leaving the show after 14 years to focus on raising the couple’s two children Kate, eight, and two-year-old Tom.
In explaining her decision at the time Kelly told the show: "I was thinking long and hard about it. I came back to work in January and I decided after 14 years working on the show, give or take a baby or two, that I wanted to spend a bit more time with the kids."
Kelly’s stint at the station ended today and she was given a classy send-off with station bosses presenting her with flowers, while hubby Ray gave her framed photos of her memories working on the radio show.
WE LOVE YOU JENNY!!!! @cupidkelly #raydarcy

The good thing is, Jenny will now be spared Ray's threat/promise to undergo a vasectomy live on air.
While interviewing Dr John O’Keeffe from the Morehampton Clinic in Dublin yesterday about undergoing a vasectomy with local anaesthetic, Ray said: "I said in a moment of stupidity really that I might get it done live on air".
He added: "I’ve had two children and at this stage – we have discussed this, myself and my wife – we are not going to have any more children. Would that be possibility to do (a vesectomy live on air)?”
The doctor was a bit hesitant, and advised ray to think about it.
Sound advice!
