Summer in Dublin captured in festival video

There's nothing quite like a sunny day in Dublin city, is there?

This video captures some of that magic in arty, super-slow motion shots of the capital on a sunny day, with voice overlays from locals talking about what makes the city special to them.

Yes, it's clearly a promotional video for the "Laya City Spectacular" event, but as a Dubliner away from home, the footage of sunny streets got a nostalgic twinge from me.

The City Spectacular is a family-oriented street festival taking place in Dublin and Cork in July, expanding on the health insurer's sponsorship of the Street Performance World Championships.

The festival will run from the 11-13 July in Dublin at Merrion Square, and 19-20 July in Fitzgerald Park in Cork.
