Breakdancing Buddhist monks pay tribute to the late Beastie Boys rapper

These Tibetan monks decided to pay their respects to the memory of the late Adam Yauch (better known as MCA), the best way they know how - by breakdancing in the streets of New York.

And they’re brilliant at it.

The monks, dressed in their traditional red and yellow robes, show off their best moves in Union Square in Brooklyn as part of MCA day, which honours the late Beastie Boy. Yauch passed away on May 4, 2012 aged 47, after battling cancer.

Yauch was a practicing Buddhist and passionate about Tibet. We can't think of a more fitting tribute to his life.
