New York firefighters in touching tribute to Harold Ramis
Actor and director Harold Ramis - who played Egon in 'Ghostbusters' - died yesterday.
This morning New York firefighters paid their own tribute at the Manhattan firehouse that was the Ghostbusters' home in the films.
The building, located at 14 North Moore St in the city's TriBeCa district, is home to the FDNY Hook & Ladder No. 8.
It was used in exterior shots and interior shots for both 'Ghostbusters' (1984) and 'Ghostbusters II' (1989).
Here's another picture:

And here's Ramis (on the right as Egon) with co-stars Bill Murray (left, as Dr Peter Venkman) and Dan Ackroyd (centre, as Dr Raymond Stanz) in the actual film, in front of the firehouse door:

Last night fans of Ramis gathered at the firehouse, leaving their own tributes to Ramis in a small but poignant memorial.

Eagle-eyed candy fans will notice a few Twinkies left in among the offerings.
In case you were wondering, here's why:
Ramis co-wrote 'Ghostbusters', as well as 'National Lampoon’s Animal House' and 'Meatballs' and directed such films as 'Caddyshack' and 'Groundhog Day'.
The actor and director died from complications of autoimmune inflammatory disease. He was 69.
