And you thought Irish weather was bad - in Sicily, it's raining rocks

We may bemoan the drizzle, but at least there aren't rocks falling from the sky.
That's what's been happening over the weekend in Sicily, as an eruption from Mount Etna showered volcanic ash on towns dotting the mountain’s slopes and nearby Taormina.
The below footage shot in Giardini Naxos, a seaside resort lying to the east of the volcano, between Cape Taormina and Cape Schisò, and shows just what it means to live in the shadow of Etna.
Etna is Europe's tallest active volcano, and erupts around 12 times per year. Its last major eruption was in 1992.

At night, it looks pretty spectacular.
