Why does this Kilkenny man have a Hitler birthday cake?

That's not even a misleading headline.

Ah, the local Irish papers. Always good for a what-the-hell-is-going-on.

Twitter exploded with a chorus of WTF when Naoise Nunn tweeted this photo from page 30 of today's Kilkenny People, of Coon man Larry Brennan having a nice family birthday celebration:

Oh, that's some lovely local news - hang on a sec.

Is… is that Hitler? Wearing a party hat?

Yes. Yes it is.

Seriously, though, there's got to be an explanation.
