Giant Michael Jackson statue going cheap
Fulham have removed the utterly bizarre Michael Jackson statue from its perch as per fans wishes.
The sculpture was erected by millionaire former owner of Fulham, Mohammed Al Fayed, in 2011, but the new owner took it down pretty quickly.
Today we say goodbye to Michael. Thanks for the memories. #ffc @ Michael Jackson Statue http://t.co/oRJvrfzA4w

At 7 feet 6 inches, it's even larger than life-size. So what the hell are they going to do with it? It's outdoor, civic sculpture.
Sure, it's going cheap - but where would you put it up that would make any kind of sense?
Just look how majestic his diamond self would be on O'Connell Street, in place of that guy whose name you can't quite remember:

Actually, on second thoughts, it doesn’t quite fit. Maybe they could use it in Cork - Father Matthew was from Tipperary, after all (he's the man behind the abstinence from alcohol pledge):

Eh… no. It just won't work. Galway, then. They've got a great reputation for music. They'd love it.

Oh, fine, forget it. It'll just go back to Al Fayed's palace of belongings. Apparently he's received several offers, but I don't know from whom - this thing would look out of place anywhere.
Except at Fulham, of course. match, that was.
