Brad and Angelina are missing in Ireland

In what could be the missing persons case of the century, Brad Pitt and Angelia Jolie (-Pitt, we suppose) are missing in Ireland.

This is not a joke.

Well-known caricature artist Niall O'Loughlin took to Twitter and Facebook this morning to report that a life-size cutout of the pair has apparently gone missing from his home in Dunboyne, Co Meath.

"My life size caricatures of Brad & Angelina have been stolen (not a joke)," Niall posted.

"If anyone has spotted them please contact me."

Niall - who plys his trade at weddings and events around the country - told breakingnews.ie that he noticed the artwork was missing when he went to take materials from storage for a wedding fair in the RDS, Dublin over the weekend.

Despite he and his wife turning the house and office upside-down, the pair remain on the lam.

"We're just utterly baffled," he said. "And can think of no other explanation other than they've been taken.

The criminal mastermind painting pilferer would have had something of a job on his or her hands, seeing as the cutout stands over 6ft tall.

"I'm 6'2" and you can see they're nearly as tall as me," Niall said.

"You couldn't miss it."
