AWKWARD: What happens when the royal baby isn’t a girl

This unfortunate business found out!

A Wholesale Clearance site in the UK is selling commemorative plates which mark the birth of the first PRINCESS of Cambridge.

According to the site a local business (who shall remain unnamed) received a tip from a "reputable source" that the royal baby would be a girl.

"With complete confidence in their inside man, they ran a print run of 5,000 commemorative plates," explains the clearance site.

Wholesale Clearance snapped up the plates from the company and are now selling them for £2.98 (€3.45) each.

Why would anyone buy so many of these plates?

Their sales pitch and marketing strategy is as follows:

* Wait for baby number 2 and hope it is a girl and sell them for considerable profit

* Have a plate smashing contest

* Give your colleagues the worst Secret Santa gift ever

* Take up plate spinning as a hobby

* Have a dangerous game of Frisbee
