Peter Andre is cutting down on reality TV.

The singer has lived his life in front of the cameras on his hit ITV2 show 'Peter Andre: My Life' for five years but he plans to take a step back from the fly-on-the-wall programme next year to concentrate on his burgeoning presenting career, which includes hosting ITV's '60 Minute Makeover'.

He said: "The kind of TV I'm doing is changing. The reality TV will finish at some point or cut down. I'll miss not doing reality TV all the time, but I think it'll be time for me to move into more presenting work. I have some good work planned for 2014."

The 40-year-old star - who has two children, Junior, seven, and Princess Tiaamii, five, with ex-wife Katie Price - admits his current girlfriend, medical student Emily MacDonagh, will be pleased with his decision as she prefers to live a more private life.

He added to new! Magazine: "I think she'd really like that. You know, we don't do photoshoots together and although she's on the reality show, that's just part of my life. We've got a lot of hours to film and I can either see her less and finish filming, or see her more and her be on it."
