Irish comic book guy hits the top

An Irish comic book artist is about to hit the big time with Marvel Comics.

The best-selling comic-book maker is set to release a series called Fearless Defenders this month about a gang of female superheroes, and Corkman Will Sliney has drawn the artwork for the series.

In an interview with today's Cork Evening Echo, Will revealed that he first started with Marvel in November saying: "It was the quickest contract I ever signed!"

The Ballycotton native will also launch his own project, Celtic Warrior: The Legend Of Cú Chulainn, in April.
