Some of Ireland’s top comedians are set to gather in Stradbally this September for the Electric Picnic comedy tent.

Saturday will see Belfast's Patrick Kielty perform his only Irish date on his box office record breaking 2012 Autumn Tour 'Home'.

‘The Savage Eye’ star David McSavage, ‘Father Ted’ favourite Joe Rooney and laconic Omagh native Kevin McAleer will be appearing beforehand.

Sunday will witness the musical whimsy of ‘Never Mind The Buzzcocks’ presenter David O’Doherty, along with The Nualas, Karl Spain and ‘Apres Match’ comedian Barry Murphy.

The Electric Picnic music and arts festival takes place from Friday, August 31 to Sunday September 2 at Stradbally Hall, Stradbally, Co Laois. Tickets are available from Ticketmaster.
