Bond appears to fall to death in latest 007 outing

James Bond appears to fall to his death in the latest 'Skyfall' trailer.

The two-minute 32-second clip shows the British spy - played by Daniel Craig for the third time – getting shot by government agent Eve, who is portrayed by Bond newcomer Naomie Harris, and appearing to plummet to his death.

Bond gets involved in a fist-fight on a moving train before Naomie's alter-ego shoots him off the vehicle under orders from head of the Secret Intelligent Service, M, who is played by Judi Dench.

The movie – which also stars Ralph Fiennes, Javier Bardem and Berenice Marlohe – is set to see 007's loyalty to M tested after her past catches up with her and the secret agent is sent out to track down and destroy a threat attacking MI6.

Another storyline expected in the Sam Mendes-directed film sees Bond knighted by Queen Elizabeth, who has been tipped to make an appearance in the motion picture.

Bond starred alongside the queen in a short pre-recorded video clip for the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in London, on Friday.

The segment saw Daniel's alter-ego take a London taxi to Buckingham Palace to pick up the monarch, before the pair appeared to parachute into the Olympic stadium, much to the delight of onlookers.
