Neeson gives sneak preview of 'possible/impossible Taken sequel plot

Liam Neeson has called the plot of the sequel to Taken "highly impossible yet equally possible".

The 60-year-old actor is set to reprise his role as Bryan Mills in the follow up to the 2008 action thriller - which sees his alter-ego travel across Europe to save his kidnapped daughter Kim (Maggie Grace) - but he was surprised when writer Luc Besson told him about his plans to make another movie in the series.

He said: "The first one for me was just a one-off. It was a huge hit, but I thought, 'That's it.' Then Luc Besson came back and said, 'We want to do a sequel.' I said, 'Come on, how can you possibly do a sequel? What, she gets taken again? It's crazy!' "

Liam admits the plotline for 'Taken 2' - which sees Bryan and his wife Lenore (Famke Janssen) get taken, and Kim is the only one who can help - is "highly impossible" in terms of realism, but he admits it's "equally possible".

In an interview with Empire magazine, he added: "I'm able to, in a very covert way, instruct her to find out where I am being held because a sack's been put over my head and I'm in the middle of a f***ing dungeon! It's highly impossible yet equally possible."
