A former nanny for the Kardashian family claims Kris Jenner "groomed" her children for stardom.

Pam Behan spent five years looking after Kourtney, Kim, Khloe and Rob Kardashian between 1991 and 1996 and believes the showbiz matriarch - who is married to former Olympian Bruce Jenner - always intended for the quartet to have a celebrity status when they grew older.

Writing in her tell-all book, 'Malibu Nanny: The True Adventures of the Former Kardashian Nanny', Pam - who also spent three years taking care of Bruce's kids Linda, Brandon and Brody Jenner - explains: "Kris always seemed to be rubbing elbows with people that were 'somebody'.

"Kourtney, Kim, Khloe and Robert spent time with friends whose parents were celebrities or people in the limelight.

"I believe she was grooming her children for their current celebrity status their entire lives ... I do believe that the success they enjoy now is what she always hoped for and wanted for them and for herself."

Pam describes Kris as a "brilliant businesswoman", but in the first chapter of her 148-page book she tells of an occasion when Kris exploded with anger when the nanny forgot to buy some broccoli during a shopping trip, but she later apologised.

She wrote: "When I got home, Kris, who was in the kitchen, looked at the groceries I had just purchased, and let out a torrent of expletives.'

"Broccoli was not on the shortlist she had given me that day, although it was a regular item on the weekly list. I did not know, shame on me, that keeping broccoli stocked in the refrigerator was so critical."
