Allen: Cannes a 'psychological nightmare'
Woody Allen has described Cannes as his worst nightmare.
Allen, who's latest film 'To Rome With Love' was tipped for a Cannes slot, will be staying away from the event.
He said the whole thing, with it red carpet glamour and frenzied fans, is a "psychological nightmare".
Allen opened last year's festival with "Midnight in Paris", which went on to become his best-performing film, grossing more than $100m.
