Director Hardwicke hated 'horrible' first Twilight script

'Twilight' director Catherine Hardwicke thought the original script for the film was "horrible".

The film maker helmed the first episode in the vampire movie franchise - starring Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart - but was initially put off by the script, and only agreed to make it after reading the original novel by Stephenie Meyer.
