Royal Wedding got most viewers in UK last year

In Britain, the most watched TV programme of last year was the Royal Wedding.

An average of 26 million viewers tuned in to watch across 10 channels including the BBC, ITV and Sky News.

According to the official Broadcasters' Audience Research Board the other shows in the top ten included 'The X Factor' Results, the 'Strictly Come Dancing' Final and 'Downton Abbey'.
