Newton-John's 'Grease' tops makeovers
Olivia Newton-John’s transformation from goody-goody to bad girl in 'Grease' has been named the top on-screen makeover by movie buffs.
It beat the transformations of leading characters in 'My Fair Lady' and 'Pretty Woman' in the poll for movie rental and streaming service Lovefilm.
Newton-John’s character Sandy goes from preppy to leather-clad bombshell in musical 'Grease' to win over heartthrob Danny Zuko.
Runner-up movie is 'Miss Congeniality', 'Pretty Woman' is in third place.
'My Fair Lady', which starred Audrey Hepburn as flower girl Eliza Doolittle who is turned into a society lady, came fourth in the list compiled to mark London Fashion Week.
Lovefilm editor Helen Cowley said: “Fashion has always been in the spotlight throughout film and television history, often making style icons out of the very actors who model the latest trends on-screen.”
