Kasabian's Pizzorno hates to be labelled 'indie'

Kasabian guitarist Serge Pizzorno hates indie bands, and gets really furious when anyone labels Kasabian as "indie".

He told FHM magazine: "We've never been an indie band, you know, and I sort of hate indie bands. I despise that speed of music. (What we do) is future rock.

"I think rock 'n' roll is at a weird point. It needs to step into future and re-invent itself, because people don't buzz off it anymore. It needs to work with other genres and fuse into this amazing beast."

Although Sergio became a father last year he has no plans to give up the boozing and late nights with the band.

He explained: "You've got to be built in a certain way to be in a band. You're outlaws in a lot of ways. Like pirates, you know cos every night you've got to be the best, so you've got to have the energy to keep that sustained."
