Franklin to be honoured with jazz award

A special jazz concert is being held in honour of Aretha Franklin.

The Queen of Soul will be given the Founder's Award at the 25th anniversary of the Institute of Jazz, founded in memory of pianist Thelonious Monk.

Franklin sang jazz at the start of her career. The concert's being held on September 12 in Washington.
