Man on Paris Hilton stalking charge

A man arrested outside Paris Hilton’s home in California has been charged with stalking after allegedly failing to stay away from the socialite.

James Brian Rainford, 36, is facing two felony stalking counts and three misdemeanour counts of disobeying a court order, prosecutor Wendy Segall said.

Deputies arrested Rainford on July 4 after paparazzi outside Hilton’s home in Malibu recognised him.

It was his third arrest in less than a year related to Hilton.

He is in jail with bail set at $150,000 (€106,000).

Jail records do not indicate whether he has a lawyer.

A judge issued a restraining order in October after Rainford was arrested outside Hilton’s Hollywood Hills home.

He was arrested again this year after Hilton’s boyfriend was grabbed outside a courthouse.
