Gary Barlow heaped praise on a Take That impersonator at ‘The X Factor’ auditions at The Trafford Centre Manchester yesterday.

The Take That star - who is joined on the judging panel of the TV talent show by Louis Walsh, Kelly Rowland and Tulisa Contostavlos – was impressed with Ashley Crowe who sings in tribute band Totally Take That, claiming seeing it was like “looking in a mirror” after the aspiring singer performed ‘Love Ain't Here Anymore’.

He said: “You have impeccable taste in music. You look amazing. It’s just like looking in a mirror.”

However, fellow judge Tulisa wasn’t bowled over by the imitation claiming there is only enough room for “one Gary Barlow”.

She said: “I’m not sure if there’s room for another Gary. There is only one Gary Barlow.”

However, there was disappointment for Gary when two Adam Ant tribute acts failed to impress.

A source told The Sun newspaper: “Gary had really high hopes for them and said that Adam Ant was his first musical icon. But they were rubbish, it was a double disappointment.”
