Jedward still on course for Eurovision honours, says Google forecaster

Jedward, who have led the Google Eurovision Forecaster since last week, were ousted from their top spot this morning by Emmy from Armenia according to Google search data.

However, the good news is that the Armenian entry didn’t make it through to the final so the real competition comes from German entry Lena who is currently tied with Jedward on an estimated 169 points.

The Google Eurovision Forecaster has correctly predicted the winner for the past two years.

Based on Google search data, the Google Eurovision Forecaster identifies which act is most searched for on Google in each participating country.

Each act is awarded 1-12 points based on where they rank in Google search. Search data from the act’s home country is excluded, replicating Eurovision judging rules.
