Price to rival Alan Sugar with new apprentice show
Katie Price is to give Alan Sugar a run for his money by finding her own apprentice for a new TV series.
The model-turned-businesswoman is to launch a hunt for a fresh face to sign up with her model agency.
She has set up Black Sheep Management to find a model who āwill break the mouldā for the Sky Living series to launch in the autumn.
Price plans to tour the UK to find the new boy or girl who is expected to front commercial marketing campaigns. The successful candidate is expected to have the ādrive, passion and hunger to rival hersā, according to programme-makers.
And those who make the shortlist will be put through their paces in a series of challenges and learn about the industry in the show, which has a working title Discovered By Katie.
She said: āThis is a really personal mission for me. I know Iām a good businesswoman and if I find the right girl or boy, I would like to sign them to my new agency.
āIām looking for someone like me, someone who is determined to devote themselves to their modelling career.
āThe person Iām looking for needs model looks, a killer body, bags of ambition, a rock-solid personality, the desire to better themselves, a have-a-go attitude and of course, a good sense of humour.ā
Price let the cat out of the bag about the planned series last year when she wrote a message on Twitter about the show.
It said: āI canāt wait to go up and down the country to audition girls for one of my new shows Jordan Idolā.
But it was dismissed as a joke by her publicist.
Sky Entertainmentās head of factual entertainment Mark Sammon said: āKatie has proved herself to be an astute businesswoman. She knows what she wants and also how to get it.
āItās fantastic that sheās giving us access to her new venture. We canāt wait to see what talent she and her team of industry experts uncover.ā
