A quite brilliant performance from Gallo – without speaking a word of dialogue – lends strength to Skolimowski’s gripping tale of a man lost and helpless in a world he doesn’t know.

Gallo plays a member of the Afghanistan Taliban who is captured by the Americans and taken for interrogation – and torture - to Europe. That he escapes in no way eases his plight since he has nowhere to go and along the way must try to survive.

A film, beautifully shot, of verve and energy … and that memorable Gallo contribution.
