'Green Hornet' dazzles on US debut

'The Green Hornet' is buzzing away with the top spot at the weekend US box office.

The tongue-in-cheek superhero film starring Seth Rogen earned $34m during its opening weekend, according to studio estimates.

Sony’s 'Green Hornet', which was directed by Michel Gondry, shot down 'True Grit', which reigned supreme the previous weekend.

The weekend’s other new film, 'The Dilemma', which stars Vince Vaughn and Kevin James, opened in the number two spot with $17.4m.
