Church puts motherhood before career
The Welsh singer Charlotte Church split from rugby player fiance Gavin Henson – with who she has two children, three-year-old Ruby and Dexter, 21 months - in May and admitted that raising happy, well-adjusted children is harder to do with a busy workload.
She said: “You’ve got to space it out and realise what’s more important to you. A lot of women will say ‘I’ve got to work six days a week because I want to provide a better house or food for my children’ but from my point of view I want to work and I want to make my new album a success but ultimately I want to be a good mother and I want to have children that have no or at least minimal issues.
