Another disappointing turn from Aniston in 'The Switch'

Aniston once again appears in a light as air, fluffy as a cloud romcom that gives her no boundaries to explore other than to be Aniston, in yet another inoffensive little film that trickles along a plotline so silly it’s hardly worth getting worked up about.

Here she plays fortysomething TV producer Kassie who figures it’s time she had a child. She’s single but she throws a party and invites Roland (Wilson) to provide the sperm … as you do.

But neurotic Wally (the one interesting and funny contribution from the excellent Bateman) doesn’t rate Roland as a dad and in a drunken moment switches the little tadpoles with his own, and promptly forgets all about it.

Kassie, of course, re-enters his life seven years later with a young son … things could, if you’re still interested, go either way.

OK, so it’s a romcom – an Aniston romcom – and you don’t expect too much from it, but even with this you’re short-changed.
