‘Big Brother’ housemates earn right to watch England match

The ‘Big Brother’ housemates will be able to watch today’s England World Cup match against Germany.

Ahead of the big game, housemates took on their counterparts in the German show in a penalty shoot-out via a live video link, in which they had to kick a ball through one of two holes in a wooden England flag goal.

While the Germans – whose target was a German flag – missed 14 penalties in a row, the English managed to keep their cool and won the competition 2-1, with Kuku scoring the winner.

She was mobbed by her thrilled housemates and they will now all enjoy the match, which is an unusual move from 'Big Brother' as normally contestants have to be shut off from the outside world completely.

John James said: “This is the best day in the ‘Big Brother’ house so far.”

As well as being able to watch the game, the housemates were also rewarded with a traditional English dinner.
